Counselling Process
Registration
The first and most crucial step is to register on the official website of the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). Only candidates who have qualified in the NEET PG 2024 exam are eligible to register.
During KEA NEET PG Registration Process 2024, students must provide their personal details, NEET PG score, and other relevant information. It is essential to complete this step within the specified deadline to be considered for further stages of the counselling process.
Verification of Documents
After registration, candidates must undergo a document verification process. This step ensures that all the information provided during registration is accurate and that the candidate meets the eligibility criteria.
Students are required to visit the designated verification center in person with original documents and photocopies. These documents typically include NEET PG scorecard, identity proof, degree certificates, and other relevant credentials. The authorities will review and verify these documents to confirm the candidate’s eligibility.
Declaration of Merit List
Once the document verification is complete, KEA will release a merit list based on the NEET PG scores and the candidate’s eligibility. This merit list ranks all the eligible candidates, and it plays a vital role in the seat allotment process.
Candidates with higher ranks will have better chances of securing a seat in their preferred college and course. The merit list is published on the KEA website, and students are advised to regularly check for updates.
Online Choice Filling
In this step, candidates can log in to their KEA account and participate in the online choice filling process. Here, students can select their preferred courses and colleges in order of priority. It is important to carefully consider the options and rank them wisely, as this will directly impact the seat allotment. Candidates can also modify their choices within the specified window before final submission.
Counselling Process
Seat Allotment
After the choice filling process is completed, KEA will begin the seat allotment process. Seats are allocated based on the candidate’s rank in the merit list, the choices they have filled, and the availability of seats in the preferred colleges.
Once the seat is allotted, candidates must confirm their acceptance by paying the required admission fee. If satisfied, they can proceed to complete the admission process at the allotted college. If not, student may participate in subsequent rounds of counselling to try for a better option.
