The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Maharashtra, conducts Maharashtra NEET PG counselling 2024, which will be conducted on November 21, 2024, on its official website (https://medical2024.mahacet.org/NEET-PGM-2024/login) through online mode. The complete schedule of the round-wise Maharashtra NEET PG counselling will be provided below, once available. Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must be an Indian national to apply for Maharashtra NEET PG counselling
- Non-resident Indians (NRI) are eligible only for the 15 per cent NRI quota seats in unaided private/minority medical colleges
- Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are not eligible for Maharashtra PG medical counselling
- candidate must have passed the final examination of the MBBS degree course from an institute in Maharashtra
- He/she must have completed the compulsory rotatory internship within the stipulated date as stated by NMC
- Candidates who have passed MBBS from a foreign university are not eligible
- Candidates who are domiciled in the state of Maharashtra and have completed his/her MBBS from outside Maharashtra (allocated a seat under 15 percent AIQ) were also eligible for the counselling of Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling 2024.
Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling 2024: Counselling Process
Registration
- Candidates who wish to participate in the counselling of Maharashtra NEET PG 2024 have to register themselves on the official website, mahacet.org. (The direct link will be provided as and when the website will be active.).
- Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully before filling out the application form for Maharashtra NEET PG 2024 counselling.
- They must also note that any changes to the application form for Maharashtra PG medical counselling can be made before the final submission. There is no provision to make changes to the details filled in the application once it is submitted.
- To complete the registration process, the candidate needs to pay a non-refundable application fee of INR 3,000. The receipt of the application fee has to be preserved for future reference.
- The last step of registration is uploading the documents online. Documents cannot be uploaded without paying the application fee.
State merit list
A common state merit list will be published on the official website of the Maharashtra CET cell. This is prepared based on the marks obtained in the NEET PG 2024 examination. Only those who are declared eligible in the online document verification process are included in this list.
Online Choice filling
Details of the seats available through the Maharashtra NEET PG counselling 2024 will be published online. Candidates named in the state merit list have to fill out a preference form online to apply for these seats. Candidates must remember that the choices filled in the preference form can be changed any number of times before submitting it, but once submitted, there will not be any option to modify. Also, this is a one-time process only and candidates will not be given a chance to change their choices before the subsequent round of Maharashtra NEET PG 2024 counselling.
College Allotment Process
Selection of the candidates was based on the choices filled in the preference form and rank obtained in the state merit list. Candidates who wish to retain the seats allocated to them must report to the respective institute before the deadline.
Joining the allotted College
Candidates have to report to the allotted institute with all their documents for the verification process; they have to deposit the fees after the verification process is complete and must join the institute immediately.
